THE DEVELOPMENT OF ACTIVE READIND ABILITY AND SATISFACTION BASED ON CONTENT AND LANGUAGE INTEGRATED LEARNING APPROACH

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to compare the pre-test and post-test scores of Grade twelve students who developed active reading abilities based on the Content and Language Integrated Learning approach (CLIL) and to study the level of satisfaction among the students towards learning based on the Content and Language Integrated Learning Approach. The sample consisted of 36 Grade twelve students at Sarawittaya School. The experimental design of the study is a one group pre-test – post-test design. The instruments were CLIL lesson plans, an Active Reading Ability Test (reliability=.82) and Satisfaction Questionnaire of CLIL approach (reliability=.84). The data analysis included a t-test for the dependent samples. The results of this research revealed that the post-test mean score of Grade twelve students with a developed active reading ability based on Content and Language Integrated Learning approach was higher statistically with a significance of .05 and student satisfaction toward learning based on Content and Language Integrated Learning approach was at the highest level.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อศึกษาผลการพัฒนาความสามารถในการอ่านเชิงรุกและศึกษาความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนที่ได้รับการจัดการเรียนรู้ตามแนวคิดแบบบูรณาการเนื้อหาและภาษาของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ คือ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2562 โรงเรียนสารวิทยา แขวงเสนานิคม เขตจตุจักร กรุงเทพมหานคร 1 ห้องเรียน ซึ่งได้จากการเลือกแบบเจาะจง (Purposive Sampling) จากนั้นทำการสุ่มเลือกนักเรียนแบบแบ่งกลุ่ม (Cluster Random Sampling) และได้กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักเรียนแผนการเรียนศิลป์-คำนวณ จำนวน 36 คน ใช้เวลาในการทดลอง 18 คาบเรียน รวม 8 สัปดาห์ โดยใช้แผนการทดลองแบบ One group pretest – posttest design เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้การอ่านเชิงรุกตามแนวคิดการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบบูรณาการเนื้อหาและภาษา แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถในการอ่านเชิงรุกวิชาภาษาอังกฤษ แบบสอบถามความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบบูรณาการเนื้อหาและภาษา วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการใช้สถิติแบบ t-test for dependent samples ผลการศึกษาพบว่า นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ที่ได้รับการพัฒนาความสามารถในการอ่านเชิงรุกตามแนวคิดการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบบูรณาการเนื้อหาและภาษามีคะแนนหลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 และความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนต่อการพัฒนาความสามารถในการอ่านเชิงรุกตามแนวคิดการจัดการเรียนรู้แบบบูรณาการเนื้อหาและภาษาอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด มีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.58
