THE STUDY OF FLLUENCY AND FLEXBILITY ON FRACTIONS OF PRATHOMSUKSA FOUR STUDENTS USING OPEN APPROACH

Abstract

This research aimed (1) to study fluency and flexibility in thinking related to fractions among Grade 4 students through the implementation of the Open Approach, and (2) to observe students’ behaviors reflecting fluency and flexibility in thinking during fraction learning activities using the Open Approach. The sample consisted of 28 Grade 4 students enrolled in the first semester of the 2025 academic year at the Demonstration School of Srinakharinwirot University, Prasarnmit (Elementary). The sample was selected through cluster random sampling. The research instruments included: (1) 12 open approach lesson plans, (2) a test measuring fluency and flexibility in thinking, and (3) a behavioral observation form for fluency and flexibility in thinking. Hypothesis testing was conducted using the Z-Test for Population Proportion. The findings revealed that (1) Grade 4 students who participated in learning through the Open Approach demonstrated fluency and flexibility in thinking related to fractions. Over 60% of the students achieved scores of 60% or higher, which was statistically significant at the .05 level. (2) The students also exhibited increased behaviors associated with fluency and flexibility in thinking. They were able to generate numerous correct answers in a limited time, demonstrated diverse problem-solving approaches, adapted their thinking strategies to fit different situations, and grouped answers from various perspectives.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ คือ (1) เพื่อศึกษาความคิดคล่องและความคิดยืดหยุ่น เรื่องเศษส่วน ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4 ผ่านการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้วิธีการแบบเปิด และ (2) เพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมด้านความคิดคล่องและความคิดยืดหยุ่น เรื่องเศษส่วน ของนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4 ผ่านการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้วิธีการแบบเปิด โดยกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4 ภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2568 โรงเรียนสาธิตมหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒ ประสานมิตร (ฝ่ายประถม) จำนวน 28 คน ได้มาจากการสุ่มแบบกลุ่ม (Cluster Random Sampling) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย (1) แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้วิธีการแบบเปิด จำนวน 12 แผน (2) แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถด้านความคิดคล่องและความคิดยืดหยุ่น และ (3) แบบสังเกตพฤติกรรมด้านความคิดคล่องและความคิดยืดหยุ่น โดนใช้การทดสอบสมมติฐานด้วยทดสอบ Z (Z-Test for Population Proportion) ผลการวิจัยพบว่า (1) นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 4 ที่ผ่านการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้วิธีการแบบเปิดมีความสามารถด้านความคิดคล่องและความคิดยืดหยุ่นเรื่องเศษส่วน โดยมีนักเรียนที่ได้คะแนนตั้งแต่ร้อยละ 60 ขึ้นไปของคะแนนเต็ม มีจำนวนมากกว่าร้อยละ 60 ของจำนวนนักเรียนทั้งหมด อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 และ (2) นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที 4 ที่ผ่าการจัดการเรียนรู้โดยใช้วิธีการแบบเปิดมีพฤติกรรมด้านความคิดคล่องและความคิดยืดหยุ่นเพิ่มขึ้น โดยสามารถคิดหาผลเฉลยในเรื่องเศษส่วนได้จำนวนมากในเวลาที่จำกัด แสดงวิธีการที่หลากหลาย และสามารถปรับเปลี่ยนแนวทางการคิดตามสถานการณ์ที่กำหนด รวมถึงสามารถจัดกลุ่มของผลเฉลยจากมุมมองที่แตกต่างกัน
