CREATIVE DESIGN : A CASE STUDY OF SELECTED THAI CONTEMPORARY ARTIST’S WORKS

Abstract

The objectives of this research were as follows: (1.) a study of the history, background, purpose, and the benefits of Silpathorn Award, (2.) a learned biography, the creative works style of Silpathorn contemporary artists creative works in Thai society listed six Silpathorn Contemporary artists, namely Somchai Jongsaeng, Eggarat Wongcharit, Vitoon Kunalungkarn, Patama Roonrakwit, Amata Luphaiboon, and Suriya Umpansirirattana, (Silpathorn 2009-2017); (3.) a study of creative design reactions in Thai Society, collected and studied creative work, and interviewed artists by using Talcott Parsons’s function structure theory (AGIL) which assessed learning development, analysis and conclusions on qualitative. (1.) The contemporary artist selected project, “the Silpathorn Award” arose from office of contemporary art and culture whose supported artists aged from thirty to fifty five, who worked for society, the benefits, and perceptions of outstanding works. The objective of the award was to glorify and value the artist and qualitative standing in art communities and beneficial to various fields of art educations in terms of knowledge and contemporary art and cultural, advantages. (2.) The Silpathorn adaptation worked in the creative thinking process to succeed in the current environment situation. Moreover, they must have goal attainment leadership in terms of work processes and have applied multidisciplinary knowledge, such as belief, wisdom, Thai culture and integrated work development. This research found that creative design has motivation (Latency of AGIL’s Theory) to the next generation, following the cultural system pattern and drive forward society with better quality. (3.) The impact of creative design performed the value of architectural and interior design to Thai society. Besides that, it assists the economy, lead society regarding design the environment, and professional attitudes in a better way. However, in terms of knowledgement and skills were demonstrated in creative works. In terms of art aesthetics, it depended on personal experiences and in terms of art and culture, it depended on individual perspectives and identity of Thai contemporary creative design works.

ปริญญานิพนธ์มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1.ศึกษาประวัติความเป็นมา จุดมุ่งหมายและประโยชน์ของการมอบรางวัล ศิลปาธร 2.ศึกษาชีวประวัติ และรูปแบบผลงานการออกแบบเชิงสร้างสรรค์ของกลุ่มศิลปิน ศิลปาธร ในบริบทของสังคมไทย ซึ่งมีรายนามทั้งหมด 6 ท่าน ได้แก่ สมชาย จงแสง, เอกรัตน์ วงษ์จริต, วิฑูรย์ คุณาลังการ, ปฐมา หรุ่นรักวิทย์, สุริยะ อัมพันศิริรัตน์ และอมตะ หลูไพบูลย์ (ศิลปาธร ปีพ.ศ.2552-2560) 3.ศึกษาผลกระทบของผลงานการออกแบบเชิงสร้างสรรค์ที่มีต่อสังคมไทย โดยการเก็บข้อมูลศึกษาผลงานสร้างสรรค์ของศิลปิน และการสัมภาษณ์ศิลปิน ผ่านทฤษฎีโครงสร้างหน้าที่ของ ทัลคอตต์ พาร์สันส์ (AGIL) และทฤษฎีผลกระทบ ที่ส่งผลต่อพัฒนาการการเรียนรู้ มาวิเคราะห์และสรุปผลผ่านการบรรยายเชิงคุณภาพ 1.)โครงการสรรหาศิลปินร่วมสมัยดีเด่นรางวัล“ศิลปาธร” เกิดขึ้นจากสำนักงานศิลปวัฒนธรรม ที่จะสนับสนุนศิลปินที่มีอายุ30-55ปี ผู้ที่มีแนวคิดการทำงานเพื่อประโยชน์ละสังคมส่วนรวม และมีผลงานโดดเด่น โดยมีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อเชิดชูเกียรติ ว่าเป็นผู้มีคุณค่าและเป็นผู้มีคุณภาพเป็นที่ประจักษ์ต่อวงการศิลปะ และเป็นประโยชน์ต่อวงการศึกษาศิลปะในแขนงต่างๆ เพื่อให้เกิดองค์ความรู้และเห็นคุณค่าศิลปวัฒนธรรมร่วมสมัย 2.)ศิลปาธรมีการปรับตัว(Adaptation)ในกระบวนการคิดสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน ให้เข้ากับสถานการณ์สภาพแวดล้อมในปัจจุบัน ทั้งยังมีบุคลิกภาพความเป็นผู้นำเพื่อบรรลุเป้าหมาย(Goal Attainment) ด้านขั้นตอนการทำงาน มักเชื่อมโยงองค์ความรู้หลายศาสตร์ทั้งความเชื่อ ภูมิปัญญา วัฒนธรรมไทยมาประยุกต์ใช้และบูรณาการ(Integration)ด้านแนวทางการพัฒนาผลงาน พบว่างานออกแบบสร้างสรรค์ล้วนเป็นแรงผลักดันให้คนรุ่นใหม่ เดินตามแบบแผนระบบวัฒนธรรม(Latency) เพื่อให้สังคมขับเคลื่อนไปข้างหน้าอย่างมีคุณภาพ 3.)ผลกระทบของการออกแบบสร้างสรรค์ ทำให้สังคมไทยเห็นคุณค่าในงานสถาปัตยกรรมและการออกแบบภายใน ทั้งยังส่งผลดีทางเศรษฐกิจในสังคมวงกว้าง และเป็นผู้มีส่วนชี้นำสังคมด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมกับการออกแบบ ส่งผลดีต่อทัศนคติการทำงานวิชาชีพ ส่วนด้านความรู้และด้านทักษะนั้น เป็นสิ่งที่มาพร้อมกันจากการทำงานสร้างสรรค์ ส่วนด้านสุนทรียศาสตร์ ขึ้นอยู่กับประสบการณ์ความงามของแต่ละบุคคล และทางด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรมนั้น ขึ้นอยู่กับมุมมองและเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตน ต่อผลงานการอออกแบบสร้างสรรค์ร่วมสมัยไทย
