A STUDY OF MUSIC ACTIVITIES AFFTETING SOCIAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENTOF AUTISTIC CHILDREN GRAD 2 AT RAMKHUMHAENG UNIVERSITYDEMONSTRATION (ELEMENTARY LAVEL)

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to study the social skills of the autistic children in Grade Two at the Special Children’s Education Center at Ramkhamhaeng University Demonstration School (Primary Education Level), who were mainly taught with music activities. This study was experimental research, and a t-test for dependent samples used to compare the social skills of autistic children before and after being taught with music activities. The samples were five autistic children at the school, selected by the purposive sampling method. The research instruments included musical activities plans for children, a social skills evaluation form for autistic children in the terms of self-control, communication and cooperation.It was found that social skills were improved by music activities. In terms of the data analysis, the results of the achievement levels of the students, before and after being taught with music activities, it was found that the achievements of autistic children taught using music activities were significantly higher than before the music activities at a .05 level of significance. It was also found that autistic children could study music. The scores from before and after the music activities were higher than 50% of the total score.

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาทักษะทางสังคมของเด็กออทิสติก ในระดับชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 2 โครงการศูนย์การศึกษาสำหรับเด็กพิเศษ โรงเรียนสาธิตมหาวิทยาลัยรามคำแหง (ฝ่ายประถม) ที่ได้รับการสอนโดยใช้กิจกรรมดนตรี เป็นการวิจัยรูปแบบแผนการทดลอง โดยใช้สถิติ T-test for dependent sample เพื่อเปรียบเทียบทักษะทางสังคมของเด็กออทิสติกก่อนและหลังได้รับการสอนด้วยกิจกรรมดนตรี กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในงานวิจัยนี้คือ เด็กออทิสติก ระดับชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 2 โรงเรียนสาธิตมหาวิทยาลัยรามคำแหง(ฝ่ายประถม) ที่มีความบกพร่องทางด้านทักษะทางสังคม เลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างแบบเฉพาะเจาะจง (purposive sampling) จำนวน 5 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในงานวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือ แผนการจัดกิจกรรมดนตรีสำหรับเด็กออทิสติก และแบบวัดทักษะทางสังคมของเด็กออทิสติกแบ่งออกเป็น 3 ด้านได้แก่ ด้านการควบคุมตนเอง ด้านการสื่อสารกับผู้อื่น และด้านการทำงานร่วมกับคนอื่นผลการวิจัยพบว่าการใช้กิจกรรมดนตรีส่งผลต่อทักษะทางสังคมของเด็กออทิสติกดีขึ้น โดยผู้วิจัยได้พิจารณาผลที่ได้จากการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ผลสัมฤทธิ์ก่อนและหลังได้รับการสอนด้วยกิจกรรมดนตรี ผลปรากฎว่าการใช้กิจกรรมดนตรีส่งผลให้ ผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางด้านทักษะทางสังคมของเด็กออทิสติกทั้ง 3 ด้าน หลังได้รับการสอนด้วยกิจกรรมดนตรีสูงขึ้นกว่าก่อนการทำกิจกรรมดนตรี อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ .05 และยังค้นพบว่าเด็กออทิสติกนั้นสามารถเรียนรู้ดนตรีได้ โดยวัดจากผลสัมฤทธิ์ของคะแนนระหว่างทำกิจกรรมดนตรีและหลังทำกิจกรรมดนตรีของเด็กออทิสติกมีค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยเกิน 50% ของคะแนนเต็มทั้งหมด
