ADMINISTRATIVE MODEL FOR SUCCESSFUL INTERNATIONAL UNDERGRADUATE CURRICULUM FOR CHINESE STUDENTS OF PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES

Abstract

The aims of this study were as follows: (1) to evaluate the international undergraduate curriculum in business administration at private universities; (2) to develop a model of international undergraduate curriculum administration for the success of Chinese students in private universities; and (3) to give a policy recommendation on the international undergraduate curriculum administration. There were 638 representative samples in this research including administrators, faculty and staff, Chinese students, Chinese alumni, employers of Chinese graduates and experts. The research tools consisted of (1) four sets of questionnaires for four sets of people: administrators, faculty and staff; Chinese students; Chinese alumni; and the employers of Chinese graduates. According to the five-point Likert Scale, the reliability of the questionnaire sets was .902, .945, .923, and .919 respectively. The tools also included interviews, questionnaires and forms for evaluation of the appropriateness and policy recommendation forms. The statistics for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation, and a One Sample t-test. The research results, according to the representative samples, included the following: (1) high rate of the evaluation of the appropriateness of international business administration in eight aspects, both entirely and each particular aspect; (2) the appropriateness and high rate of development of the international curriculum administration model with regard to nine factors, with 69 points in total and a statistical significance of .05, compared to the standard criteria; and (3) policy recommendation on the international undergraduate curriculum administration on the success of Chinese students at private universities were classified into three levels; namely (3.1) original affiliation; (3.2) private university; and (3.3) curriculum. The experts and high-level administrators at private universities agreed with policy recommendation on three levels, two aspects, and 56 mechanisms.

การวิจัยนี้มีความมุ่งหมาย 1) เพื่อประเมินหลักสูตรบริหารธุรกิจบัณฑิต (นานาชาติ) ของสถาบันอุดมศึกษาเอกชน 2) เพื่อพัฒนารูปแบบการบริหารหลักสูตรนานาชาติระดับปริญญาตรีที่มุ่งสู่ความสำเร็จสำหรับนักศึกษาจีนของสถาบันอุดมศึกษาเอกชน และ 3) เพื่อให้ข้อเสนอแนะเชิงนโยบายเกี่ยวกับการบริหารหลักสูตรนานาชาติระดับปริญญาตรีที่มุ่งสู่ความสำเร็จสำหรับนักศึกษาจีนของสถาบันอุดมศึกษาเอกชน กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยเป็นผู้บริหาร อาจารย์ บุคลากร นักศึกษาจีน ศิษย์เก่าจีน ผู้ใช้บัณฑิตจีน และผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ รวมจำนวน 638 คน โดยใช้แบบสอบถาม 4 ฉบับเป็นครื่องมือการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบสอบถามสำหรับผู้บริหาร อาจารย์และบุคลากร แบบสอบถามสำหรับนักศึกษาจีน แบบสอบถามสำหรับศิษย์เก่าจีน และแบบสอบถามสำหรับผู้ใช้บัณฑิตจีน ในการประเมินหลักสูตรแบบมาตราส่วนประมาณค่า 5 ระดับของลิเคิร์ท โดยมีค่าความเชื่อมั่นทั้งฉบับเท่ากับ .902 .945 .923 และ.919 ตามลำดับ แบบสัมภาษณ์ แบบพิจารณายืนยัน ร่างรูปแบบ แบบสอบถามเพื่อศึกษาความเหมาะสมของรูปแบบ และแบบพิจารณาให้ข้อคิดเห็นและข้อเสนอแนะเชิงนโยบาย สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ย ค่าความเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการทดสอบที ชนิดตัวอย่างหนึ่งกลุ่ม (One Sample t-Test) ผลการวิจัยมี ดังนี้ 1) การประเมินหลักสูตรบริหารธุรกิจบัณฑิต (นานาชาติ) ของสถาบันอุดมศึกษาเอกชน ทั้ง 8 ด้าน ผู้บริหาร อาจารย์ และบุคลากร นักศึกษาจีน ศิษย์เก่าจีน และผู้ใช้บัณฑิตจีน เห็นว่าหลักสูตรบริหารธุรกิจบัณฑิต (นานาชาติ) ของสถาบันอุดมศึกษาเอกชน มีความเหมาะสมโดยรวม และรายด้านอยู่ในระดับมาก 2) การพัฒนารูปแบบการบริหารหลักสูตรนานาชาติระดับปริญญาตรีที่มุ่งสู่ความสำเร็จสำหรับนักศึกษาจีนของสถาบันอุดมศึกษาเอกชน ทั้ง 9 องค์ประกอบ ผู้บริหาร อาจารย์ บุคลากร และนักศึกษาจีน เห็นว่ามีความเหมาะสมทั้ง 9 องค์ประกอบ รวม 69 ประเด็น และเมื่อเทียบกับเกณฑ์ พบว่ามีความเหมาะสมอยู่ในระดับสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ.05 3) ข้อเสนอแนะเชิงนโยบายเกี่ยวกับการบริหารหลักสูตรนานาชาติระดับปริญญาตรีที่มุ่งสู่ความสำเร็จสำหรับนักศึกษาจีนของสถาบันอุดมศึกษาเอกชน แบ่งออกเป็น 3 ระดับ ได้แก่ 3.1) ระดับต้นสังกัดของสถาบันอุดมศึกษาเอกชน 3.2) ระดับสถาบันอุดมศึกษาเอกชน 3.3) ระดับหลักสูตร โดยผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิและผู้บริหารระดับสูงของสถาบันอุดมศึกษาเอกชน เห็นด้วยกับข้อเสนอแนะเชิงนโยบาย ทั้ง 3 ระดับ 2 ด้าน 56 กลไกการขับเคลื่อน
