DEVELOPMENT OF GEOMETRICAL LEARNING ACTIVITIES IN CONNECTION WITH REALLIFE SITUATIONS FOR GRADE EIGHT STUDENTS

Abstract

The purposes of this research are (1) to develop geometrical learning activities with reallife situations for grade eight students with the aim of achieving a 60/60 criteria; (2) to study the outcomes of the implementation of the geometrical learning activities with reallife situations for grade eight students by examining their ability to associate geometry concepts to reallife situations; (3) to study the effectiveness of the geometrical learning activities with reallife situations for grade eight students by examining their appreciation of the geometry concepts in real-life situations. The grade eight students were selected from Pramochwittayaramintra School with specific criteria and four of them were chosen for in-depth analyses. The findings showed that (1) the implementation of the geometry learning activities with reallife situations helped the grade eight students. Particularly, their efficiency, E1/E2, was 73.08/65.64, corresponding to the 60/60 criteria; (2) more than sixty percent of the students demonstrated an ability to associate geometry concepts to real-life situations at least sixty percent of the full score, with a statistically significant level of 0.05; (3) The students also demonstrated their appreciation of the geometry concepts in reallife situations by agreeing on the overall question, yielding an average score of 3.95, surpassing the criteria at 3.5, with a standard deviation of 0.44.

ความมุ่งหมายของงานวิจัย (1) เพื่อพัฒนากิจกรรมการเรียนรู้เรขาคณิตโดยการ บูรณาการแบบเชื่อมโยงเนื้อหากับสถานการณ์ในชีวิตจริงสำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ให้มีประสิทธิภาพตามเกณฑ์ 60/60 (2) เพื่อศึกษาผลของการใช้กิจกรรมการเรียนรู้เรขาคณิตโดยการบูรณาการแบบเชื่อมโยงเนื้อหากับสถานการณ์ในชีวิตจริงสำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ในด้านความสามารถในการเชื่อมโยงเนื้อหาเรขาคณิตกับสถานการณ์ในชีวิตจริง (3) เพื่อศึกษาผลของการใช้กิจกรรมการเรียนรู้เรขาคณิตโดยการบูรณาการแบบเชื่อมโยงเนื้อหากับสถานการณ์ในชีวิตจริงสำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ในด้านการเห็นคุณค่าของเรขาคณิตต่อสถานการณ์ในชีวิตจริง โดยมีกลุ่มเป้าหมายเป็นนักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ของโรงเรียนปราโมชวิทยารามอินทรา ที่ได้จากการเลือกแบบเจาะจง และมีนักเรียน 4 คน เป็นนักเรียนเป้าหมายเพื่อศึกษาเชิงลึก ผลการวิจัยพบว่า (1) กิจกรรมการเรียนรู้เรขาคณิตโดยการบูรณาการแบบเชื่อมโยงเนื้อหากับสถานการณ์ในชีวิตจริง สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 มีประสิทธิภาพ E1/E2 เท่ากับ 73.08/65.64 ซึ่งมีประสิทธิภาพเป็นไปตามเกณฑ์ (2) นักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 2 ที่เรียนด้วยกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้เรขาคณิตโดยการบูรณาการแบบเชื่อมโยงเนื้อหากับสถานการณ์ในชีวิตจริง มีความสามารถในการเชื่อมโยงเนื้อหาเรขาคณิตกับสถานการณ์ในชีวิตจริงสูงกว่าร้อยละ 60 ของคะแนนเต็ม มีจำนวนมากกว่าร้อยละ 60 ของจำนวนนักเรียนทั้งหมด อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 (3) นักเรียนเห็นคุณค่าเรขาคณิตต่อสถานการณ์ในชีวิตจริง โดยนักเรียนมีความคิดเห็น “เห็นด้วย” ต่อข้อคำถามในภาพรวม โดยมีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 3.95 และมีส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานเท่ากับ 0.44 ซึ่งผ่านเกณฑ์ 3.50
