dc.description.abstract | This study aimed to explore the factors related to and affecting emotion regulation among undergraduate students at Kunming College of Arts and Sciences. A total of 326 senior students from the Faculty of Education were randomly selected to participate in the questionnaire survey. The data were collected using the Emotion Regulation and Factors Affecting Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERFAQ), a self-developed instrument constructed based on established theoretical models and validated scales. The ERFAQ covered key variables including authoritative parenting style, authoritarian parenting style, permissive parenting style, academic stress, regulatory emotional self-efficacy, cognitive control, and social media use. The instrument showed high internal consistency, with a total Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of 0.918.
