THE DEVELOPMENT OF GEO-LITERACY BASED INSTRUCTION AND LEARNING MODEL TO ENHANCE LOCAL LEADERSHIP SKILLS FOR PRE-SERVICE SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHERS

Abstract

This research aimed (1) to develop the Development of Instructional Geo–Literacy Based Learning Model to Enhance Local Leadership Skill for Pre-Service Social Studies Teachers and (2) to examine the effectiveness of the developed model. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) methodology. The sample consisted of 40 social studies student teachers enrolled in the Local Studies course in the first semester of the 2024 academic year. The learning process based on the developed model was implemented over a period of 16 weeks, totaling 64 hours. The research instruments included the Development of Instructional Geo–Literacy Based Learning Model to Enhance Local Leadership Skill for Pre-Service Social Studies Teachers, the course syllabus (TQF3) for Local Studies, a local community leadership skills assessment form, a geographic knowledge assessment, an assessment of community development action plans based on geo-literacy, and a satisfaction questionnaire. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, t-test, and content analysis. The results revealed that the developed model was rated at the highest level of appropriateness, with a mean score of 4.87 and a standard deviation of 0.18, and a content validity index of 1.00. In terms of model effectiveness: (1) student teachers’ local community leadership skills significantly improved after implementation at the .05 level, particularly in the four domains of leadership: initiating community development, inspiring community awareness, understanding community context, and motivating others; (2) their geographic knowledge scores significantly increased at the .05 level, especially in understanding human-environment interactions and making systematic spatial decisions; (3) students were able to create and implement practical community development action plans; and (4) the students reported the highest level of satisfaction with the instructional model, with a mean score of 4.68 and a standard deviation of 0.05, indicating both the model’s appropriateness and effectiveness.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) พัฒนารูปแบบการจัดการเรียนรู้บนฐานการรู้เรื่องภูมิศาสตร์เพื่อการพัฒนาทักษะความเป็นผู้นำชุมชนท้องถิ่นสำหรับนักศึกษาครูสังคมศึกษา และ 2) ศึกษาประสิทธิภาพของรูปแบบดังกล่าว โดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยและพัฒนา กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักศึกษาครูสังคมศึกษาที่ลงทะเบียนเรียนรายวิชาท้องถิ่นศึกษา จำนวน 40 คน ภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2567 ดำเนินการเรียนรู้ตามรูปแบบที่พัฒนาขึ้นเป็นระยะเวลา 16 สัปดาห์ รวม 64 ชั่วโมง เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ รูปแบบการจัดการเรียนรู้บนฐานการรู้เรื่องภูมิศาสตร์เพื่อการพัฒนาทักษะความเป็นผู้นำชุมชนท้องถิ่นสำหรับนักศึกษาครูสังคมศึกษา มคอ.3 รายวิชาท้องถิ่นศึกษา แบบประเมินทักษะความเป็นผู้นำชุมชนท้องถิ่น แบบประเมินความรู้ทางภูมิศาสตร์ แบบประเมินแผนปฏิบัติการพัฒนาชุมชนบนฐานการรู้เรื่องภูมิศาสตร์ และแบบสอบถามความพึงพอใจ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน การทดสอบ t-test และการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า รูปแบบที่พัฒนาขึ้นมีความเหมาะสมในระดับมากที่สุด โดยมีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.87 และค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานเท่ากับ 0.18 และมีค่าดัชนีความสอดคล้องเท่ากับ 1.00 ด้านประสิทธิภาพของรูปแบบ พบว่า 1) นักศึกษาครูสังคมศึกษามีคะแนนทักษะความเป็นผู้นำชุมชนท้องถิ่นหลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 แสดงถึงคุณลักษณะผู้นำทั้ง 4 ด้าน ได้แก่ การเป็นผู้มีอิทธิพลในการริเริ่มพัฒนาชุมชน การเป็นผู้นำที่กระตุ้นชุมชนให้ตื่นรู้ การเป็นผู้ตระหนักรู้บริบทชุมชน และการเป็นผู้สร้างแรงบันดาลใจ 2) นักศึกษาครูสังคมศึกษามีคะแนนความรู้ทางภูมิศาสตร์หลังเรียนสูงกว่าก่อนเรียนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 โดยเฉพาะด้านการเข้าใจปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างมนุษย์กับสิ่งแวดล้อม และการตัดสินใจอย่างเป็นระบบ 3) นักศึกษาสามารถจัดทำและนำแผนปฏิบัติการพัฒนาชุมชนไปใช้จริงได้ และ 4) นักศึกษามีความพึงพอใจต่อรูปแบบในระดับมากที่สุด โดยมีค่าเฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 4.68 และค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานเท่ากับ 0.05 แสดงให้เห็นถึงความเหมาะสมและประสิทธิภาพของรูปแบบที่พัฒนาขึ้น
