Abstract: The aims of this research are as follows: (1) to study the level of mobile phone addiction among middle school students; and (2) to study the factors affecting mobile phone addiction. The sample group consisted of 1,342 middle school students at Chongqing Agricultural School. This research had a mobile phone addiction survey with 27 questions, with an item objective congruent ( IOC ) of 0.96. The statistics used were basic statistics, including percentage and standard deviation.  The research results found that students had a low level of mobile phone addiction at 27.80%. The factor that mostly influences phone addiction is family, followed by telephone use factors and general factors such as gender, age, and grade point average.
