Abstract: The purposes of this research are as follows: (1) to compare the mental health. problems among elementary school student in the experimental group, before and after using dance movement activities; and (2) to compare the mental health problems of elementary school students between the experimental and control groups. The scope of research consisted of a elementary school in Chongqing in the People’s Republic of China. The subjects of this research were Grade Five elementary school students in Class Two among 60 students, and 14 students with high scores on mental health problems, selected by the purposive sampling methods and divided into two groups, with seven students in the control group and seven students in the experimental group. The results revealed that dance movement activities may reduce the mental health problems of elementary school students.
