Abstract: This study combines with three research methodologies, questionare survey, statistical analysis, interview method to analyze the changes and differences of students in compulsory education before and after the " double reduction" policy and to analyze the problems and challenges in the implementation of the "double reduction". This study was conducted in a normal university from January 2022 to January 2023. The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of double reduction policy on higher education, and whether it is helpful to improve students' academic achievements and stimulate students' interest in learning. The research shows that most of principals, teachers, parents, and students believed double reduction policy had greatly influence education, and it would be helpful to improve students' academic achievements and stimulate students' interest in learning.
