SKILL ENHANCEMENT IN DEVELOPING INNOVATION FOR NURSING STUDENTS AT THE FACULTY OF NURSING AT THE PRABOROMARAJCHANOK INSTITUTE

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study the desired state for enhancing innovative skills (EIS), developing activities for EIS, and evaluating the effectiveness of EIS activities among nursing students of the Faculty of Nursing, Praboromarajchanok Institution (PI). The informants and participants were 432 nursing students, experts, and members of the nursing faculty of the Faculty of Nursing, PI. The research instruments were a semi-structured interview form, the desired state for enhancing the ISs survey, the EIS activity quality assessment tool, the EIS inventory, and the innovation quality and behavior assessment tool. The data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, PNImodified, and a dependent t-test. The findings showed that the highest desired EIS score was discovering skills and then followed in descending order by deploying, designing, developing, and defining, respectively. The activities for enhancing EIS consisted of five parts, as follows: (1) activity objectives; (2) activity content; (3) six EIS activity modules and eight activity submodules; (4) materials; and (5) evaluation. The quality of EIS activities was at the higher and the highest quality levels. Regarding the effectiveness of EIS activities, mean post-innovation skill was significantly higher than the baseline at the p-value of .05. The innovation quality and behavior scores were at high levels. The satisfaction of the participants with EIS activities was higher than the expectation (M = 3.51) at the p-value of .05.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อ 1) ศึกษาความต้องการจำเป็นของการเสริมสร้างทักษะการพัฒนานวัตกรรมสำหรับนักศึกษาพยาบาล 2) เพื่อพัฒนากิจกรรมเสริมสร้างทักษะการพัฒนานวัตกรรมสำหรับนักศึกษาพยาบาล และ 3) เพื่อศึกษาประสิทธิผลของการใช้กิจกรรมเสริมสร้างทักษะการพัฒนานวัตกรรมของนักศึกษาพยาบาล คณะพยาบาลศาสตร์ สถาบันพระบรมราชชนก กลุ่มผู้ให้ข้อมูลและกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ประกอบด้วย อาจารย์ผู้สอน ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ และนักศึกษาคณะพยาบาลศาสตร์ สถาบันพระบรมราชชนก รวมจำนวน 432 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบสัมภาษณ์แบบกึ่งมีโครงสร้าง แบบสอบถามความความต้องการจำเป็นทักษะการพัฒนานวัตกรรม แบบมาตราส่วนประมาณค่า 5 ระดับของลิเคิร์ทโดยมีค่าความเชื่อมั่นทั้งฉบับ เท่ากับ 0.973 แบบประเมินคุณภาพกิจกรรมเสริมสร้างทักษะการพัฒนานวัตกรรม แบบประเมินทักษะการพัฒนานวัตกรรม และแบบประเมินคุณภาพผลงานและพฤติกรรมการพัฒนานวัตกรรม สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าความถี่ ค่าคะแนนร้อยละ ค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ย ค่าความเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ค่าดัชนีลำดับความสำคัญของความต้องการจำเป็น (PNImodified) และการทดสอบที (Dependent t-test) ผลการวิจัยปรากฏ พบว่าทักษะการค้นพบเป็นทักษะที่มีค่าความต้องการจำเป็นมากที่สุด รองลงมา คือ ทักษะการนำนวัตกรรมไปใช้จริง ทักษะการออกแบบนวัตกรรม ทักษะการพัฒนาต้นแบบนวัตกรรม และทักษะการกำหนดโครงการนวัตกรรม ตามลำดับ กิจกรรมเพื่อสร้างเสริมทักษะการพัฒนานวัตกรรม ประกอบด้วย 5 ส่วน คือ ส่วนที่ 1 วัตถุประสงค์ของกิจกรรม ส่วนที่ 2 เนื้อหาของกิจกรรม ส่วนที่ 3 กิจกรรม ซึ่งมี 6 หน่วยกิจกรรม และ 8 กิจกรรมย่อย ส่วนที่ 4 สื่อและอุปกรณ์ที่ใช้ และส่วนที่ 5 การประเมินผลกิจกรรม โดยพบว่าทุกกิจกรรมที่สร้างขึ้นมีความเหมาะสมอยู่ในระดับมากและมากที่สุด การประเมินประสิทธิผลของกิจกรรม พบว่า ค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยของทักษะการพัฒนานวัตกรรมหลังเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมสูงกว่าก่อนเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 ค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยคุณภาพผลงานนวัตกรรมและพฤติกรรมการพัฒนานวัตกรรมอยู่ในระดับดี และผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมมีความพึงพอใจต่อการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ที่กำหนด (M = 3.51) อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05
